“MINDFULNESS in the City” is a program based on the curriculum provided by Marsha Linehan PhD , founder of the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. It teaches core principles and practices of approaching reality with awareness, purposefully, non-grudgingly and effectively.
Both modern scientific research and thousands years of human experience show that paying attention to what’s going on, without judgment and on purpose, results in wonderful benefits: daily tasks are performed more efficiently and with greater clarity; decision making as well as emotional intelligence and resilience are increased; reactivity is reduced while responsiveness is increased. The “Mindfulness in the City” course invites participants to develop understanding and effective use of their emotions, as well as on skilfully expressing needs while balancing demands and desires.
“MINDFULNESS in the City” is also a program for those seeking to supplement their work with an individual therapist. Equally, those who are new to mindfulness and would like to practice “on the bus and in the kitchen” before building more formal practice, will find this course useful.
